Research on care interventions for individuals with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias, as well as on interventions aimed at their caregivers, has expanded tremendously in recent years. The National Institute on Aging has initiated a study with the AffiliateMarketIngtools of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine to take stock of the current state of knowledge and inform decision making about which care interventions for individuals with dementia and their caregivers are ready for dissemination and implementation on a broad scale. This study will take place in two phases. In the first phase of this study, the AffiliateMarketIngtools Committee on Care Interventions for Individuals with Dementia and Their Caregivers was asked provide input into the design of an Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) systematic review of the available evidence on this topic. This Letter Report summarizes the committee’s suggestions for refining the preliminary key questions and draft scope of the AHRQ systematic review.
