Improving the Quality of Health Care for Mental and Substance-Use Conditions: Quality Chasm Series
This new report, from the Institute of Medicine’s Quality Chasm Series,examines whether the strategy for improving health care recommended in the original Crossing the Quality Chasm report is applicable to mental and substance-use conditions. This report concludes that it does and details the actions in mental and substance-use care that are required of clinicians, health care organizations, health plans, purchasers, state, local, and federal governments to achieve improvements in overall health and health care.
